The week as a whole for me was a dream from start to finish so it’s really difficult to pick a highlight! It was so lovely seeing our community come together and pull out all the stops to host such a fantastic games!
The 100m final was a big moment for me, as there was so much pressure and expectation to deliver! I’m so proud I managed to do it in front of my family, friends & thousands of Orcadians cheering me on. It was my first games gold which had been a goal of mine for a long time so the joy and relief to finally do it was something else! The 100m final set the tone for what I wanted to do throughout the whole week and I’m glad I managed to keep carrying that momentum forward for the 200m and both relays with the lasses.
