“Island Games memory was that actual first day when we queued to go to the Bignall and the queue was right down to the KGS and I think it actually hit home, like, how big this was going to be.”
“Because I think like every other person in Orkney, okay, okay, are we capable to do this, will we actually provide a suitable venue and the right atmosphere. We got in the Bignall and got in the grounds and saw the teams and it really hit home that this was going to be stunning. The weather was fantastic and what a day. All the teams came out the Bignall, we went to the gates as saw them all come out, it was just amazing. It was just brilliant and stunning, really, really good.”
