“The memories that I have of the games are, it was just such a good buzz about the place. I was an official at the athletics tracks, so I was officiating all week and any spare time I did have, I spent going to as many different things that I could to soak up the atmosphere and cheer on Team Orkney it was just incredible. My children had the best week as well and my little boy was just collecting all the badges on his hat and he just had the best time meeting new people, chatting to loads of, well, it really was just the friendly games. There was just so many good memories, the vibe was so good, there was just positivity bursting out of everybody, and obviously the weather really did make the week.”
