“How good it was overall. I went to most of the football games and the crowds were very good. Orkney, did as well as they probably could in that. But I think the overall memory I have is meeting athletes and supporters from all the different islands and how pleased they were about Orkney hosting it. I think the weather, we hit it very lucky with the weather there is no doubt about that, but it was also organised very well, which is now being reflected in the amount of awards that people are getting for the athletes, to the squash, for the different things like that. Absolutely superb, best island games there has ever been.“
