Standing outside the Peedie Kirk on Dundas Crescent watching all the teams parading down to outside the St Magnus Cathedral in the Opening Ceremony parade. People’s faces were lit up by the early evening sun. Everyone was smiling, happy and joyous as they marched along past the hundreds of people who lined the street to give all the teams a warm Orcadian welcome.
